As men grow older, it seems like they lose more hair from their heads and start growing it on and in new places on their bodies, like their ears. Sprouting ear hair can be considered your welcome mat to middle age. If you want to delay your entrance, you’ll need to trim your ear hair.

Work in a well-lit area and in front of a mirror. You might want to use two mirrors, set up in an L shape so you can see your ear without twisting or turning your head. Wash your ears with warm water and soap. Then, use a cotton swab to bring out any ear hair that needs trimming. Read the instructions for your electric hair trimmer before you use it. Trim only the hair that you can see and don’t stick the trimmer into your ear.
